National Kite Flying Day

National Kite Flying Day

Posted by The Piggyback Rider Team on 2nd Feb 2018

National Kite Flying Day is February 8! This is a great way to spend the day outside. Kite flying has been around since the 5th century starting in Japan. Kite Flying was created to remind us of the feeling of freedom that one feels when guiding a kite through the currents of air.

Join the fun by bringing your kiddos and your Piggyback Rider for kite flying! Take a walk to the park down the street and let your child fly from the Piggyback Rider to really enjoy the experience.

If you don’t have a kite at home or the winter weather makes it too cold to go out, then make it arts and crafts day at home. The entire family can join in on the fun by making a homemade kite, coloring and painting kite pictures, and enjoying kite shaped cookies.

Does your city host a kite flying festival? If so, celebrate National Kite Flying Day by attending the festival and seeing beautiful kites all around. Make sure to bring along the Piggyback rider to keep your little one close in large crowds.

Whatever you choose to do for National Flying Kite Day, the Piggyback Rider will certainly make the experience that much more enjoyable. Kite flying is a fun family activity for all so be sure to show us how you use your #piggybackrider and tag us on Instagram
