Why would you need one? When would you use a child carrier for older children?

We’ve been asked these questions (and countless others) many times. In fact, the most popular question is “where were you when my kids were younger?” Experienced parents (and grandparents) immediately get it. Little ones don’t have the endurance to match older siblings and parents. The Piggyback Rider® is a child carrier for older children specifically designed for kids 2½ and older. Before we get into it though, let’s review what is currently available for carrying a child. Most child carriers (really baby carriers) are designed for infants, well under 2 years old. They are however passive carriers meaning you just put them in and take them from point A to B. Generally, they don’t have a say and, based on my experience, they always fall asleep.
