Road Trip Essentials
27th Apr 2014
Every now and then when I take my monthly road trips, I’ll come across a full interstate map of the U.S at a truck stop and just stare at it for a while. First I’ll plot where I am, normally somewhere in North Carolina, and then follow different interstates west with my eyes. I’ll dart my eyes towards I-5 and the west coast, then work my way back across I-40 towards the perfect square counties throughout northwest Texas and up into the Midwest.
Yeah, I’ll admit- I’m a map freak, a rare breed in today’s world of GPS and smart phone navigation systems. I’m not exactly sure why I love maps so much, but there’s something about the antiquity of old school paper road maps that I just can’t get enough of. And while the great American road trip is still one of the glories of being an American, navigating with a GPS or smartphone just doesn’t feel as authentic as using a road map.
Road Trip Essentials
Whether you’re road tripping in North America or on the other side of the pond, there is just so much to see. And if you’re a parent, you know the frustration of trying to drag around a disinterested child when sightseeing. Make your adventures a fun experience for all with the Piggyback Rider NOMIS. This hybrid backpack and toddler carrier is designed with comfy straps that evenly distribute the weight of the load throughout your core, rather than putting all of the weight on your back. The NOMIS features a super safe child harness and a sturdy aluminum bar for the kiddo to stand on, while the spacious storage bag offers plenty of room for extra cargo.
