National Kids Day
Posted by The Piggyback Rider Team on 28th Jul 2016
We celebrate our Moms and we celebrate our Dads, so why not have a day dedicated to kids? Every first Sunday of August, this year it’s August 7th, is National Kids Day. This day was created to encourage parents to spend more quality time with their kids.
The national children’s charity, KidPeace, created the day in 1994 in order to celebrate childhood and kids in general. Their three main goals according to reference.com are to:
- Create awareness of the needs and values of children.
- Change the way people look at and treat children.
- Contribute to a world in which children can be safe, feel loved, have the freedom to grow and enjoy being young.
There are many fun ways to help your kids celebrate and the Piggyback Rider is here to help!
Sweet Treats:
Usually copious amounts of candy are not acceptable, but on a day all about kids, what better way to treat your little one than with a huge bag of candy? The Piggyback Rider helps you keep your hands free so you can scoop up loads of sweet treats for the kiddos.
A Family Affair:
From young to old, every kid wants to be appreciated, but sometimes it’s hard to spend quality time with everyone equally. Take the Piggyback Rider out for a spin in order to include the littlest members of the family in a fun way.
DISNEY!:
One of our favorite places to take the Piggyback Rider is Disneyland (or any amusement park for that matter). Kids LOVE Disneyland and there’s no better treat on Kid’s Day than a trip to Disneyland. Avoid big crowds and lost children with your very own Piggyback Rider.
The fun never stops with the Piggyback Rider and the possibilities are endless when it comes to celebrating your kids. We want to see all of them! Use the hashtag #kidsday and show us how you use your Piggyback Rider on August 7th.
